The Atlantic County Council of Education Association is proud to announce that this years winner of the 2020 ESP Career Achievement Award, Jayne Carmen!
Jayne is the Administrative Assistant to the Director of Curriculum and Secretary to the Child Study Team at the Middle School in Hamilton Township. She is extremely active in her Union at every level. She is the current PRIDE Chair of the Hamilton Township Education Association. She is also the Membership Chair at the Atlantic County Council of Education Association, and she attends many professional development sessions and meetings held at the County level.
Jayne is very active in her community. She is on the board of her local Police Activities League and volunteers her time at many game nights and at National Night Out.
Jayne is a dedicated member of the St. James Lutheran Church where she wears many hats that include teaching Sunday school, organizing events and she is also the President of the church Council.
Jayne organizes a very successful cookie event for the Veterans Home in Vineland and has partnered with another church to help expand that event. She assisted with a community picnic last summer titled “Get to Know Your Neighbors”. This event was special because her children and grandchildren got involved! Every year she organizes a dinner and brings her school together to help in the preparation of food for this event. This dinner raises over $4,000 per year, with the proceeds going to disabled Veterans.
Jayne has a unique and special ability to bring people together. Whether it’s her school, community, church, family or her Union. That is why she deserves this award. We are so proud of Jayne and all of her accomplishments and we are proud to call her one of our own!
